Nepal is such country in which 25% of people live below the poverty line. It’s per capital income is us $450. Which is lower than subsistence level.80% of the Nepalese people depend on agricultural. Some youth goes to India / Arabian countries for employee. Remit Nance has played important role to get rid out of poverty. Nepal is agrarian country and following traditional concept/equipment. Due to the lack of large expended industrial production is very low on cause of this backwardness in its old institution and social structure and other in foreign and dependency.
History of tourism in Nepal is not so longer. Tourism is a recent phenomenon in our country. But we have remarkable growth in tourism in past few years.2008 is the year where largest no. of tourist visited to Nepal. Making the base for year 2008 the government is planning to celebrate 2011 as a visit Nepal year. Today Nepal has become a “tourist magnet”. Now the people of all over the Nepal are willing to see beautiful Himalayan, peaceful lumbini where Lord Buddha was born. After the end of violence or conflict between government and revolutionary party (Maoist) the follow of tourist has increase in large number. People of different interest wish to extent their knowledge in their particular field and the entrepreneurs strike to increase the volume of business. So, tourism concept developed and during the finding of new targets, Nepal is found and tourism started in Nepal.
However Nepal is a tourism country facing the economics problems. With high population growth which is accepted to exceed 30 million before 2010. Nepal is facing many problems like road strike, no efficient communication facility; 16 hour power cut off has laid the problem of tourism in Nepal. Inadequate capital mobilization, for the development of tourism facilities and basics infrastructure, poor tourism promo hail activities and inability to develop tourism sport and security purpose.
During 1997 the tourist arrival in Nepal was 422000, which was 7.2% increment than 1996. Where as visit Nepal was successful to increase the tourist arrival by 9.9% than 1997 and reached to 464000. The length of stay of tourist also increased to 108 days in 1998 for 105 days in 1997.
