Introduction to Nepal Technical Assistance Group

Nepal technical assistance group (NTAG) is one of the renounce & leading organization in vitamin A sector. It was established on 1993 A.D.as non profit organization. Its main head quarter is in pulchowk of the lalitpur district. It was established to provide technical support to the different health & development projects run in Nepal. NTAGs main work is to receive donation and other funds for running different development programme. Currently it receives vitamin A capsules from UNICEF. It gets or receives donation from different national & international organization like Technical support & donation:-USAID & Aus AID
Salary & others:-staff from USAID
Training & others:-UNICEF & USAID.
It provides vitamin A to the children between 6month to age of 5 years twice in each year i.e. on 6th & 7th of Baishakh & 2nd & 3rd of kartik. Its take the help of local female community health volunteers (FCHVs) to give vitamin A dose to the children. FCHVs are unpaid local women who have trained to provide the basic health care & promote health awareness, use of health services and family planning in their own community. According to NTAGs report there are about 49000 FCHVs in Nepal. In present year NTAG have given vitamin A capsule to about 4 millions children. NTAG’s general mission is to contribute, through its pool of experts, to the advancement of people of Nepal & to promote sustainable & participatory development through mobilizing the target population & accumulating national & international financial & technical assistance & co operation
